About

Ales is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and trainer. He has an MSc in TA psychotherapy, and is a certified transactional analyst in the field of psychotherapy (CTA-P). He is also a provisional teaching and supervising transactional analyst (psychotherapy) (PTSTA-P) and holds a diploma in transactional analysis counselling.

He is active in research and theory development, regularly publishing in scientific peer-reviewed journals and presenting his work at international conferences. He is also internationally active as a visiting trainer at various psychotherapy training institutes and conducts independent psychotherapy trainings and seminars.

Currently, Ales is leading a research study evaluating the effects of interpretive dynamic transactional analysis psychotherapy (IDTAP) on the level of personality functioning and adult attachment patterns for the clients presenting with clinical and subclinical levels of borderline personality disorder (BPD).

He has experience working as a an individual and group therapist within the NHS (National Health Service), where he used to practice at an NHS GP surgery. He was also involved as a psychotherapeutic counsellor at Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust—North Westminster Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
